Healthy hair starts from the inside out, and food can either help nourish or cause damage. Eating foods full of nourishment can set you on the right path to achieving healthy, shiny locks.

Salmon

Salmon is packed with healthy omega-3 fatty acids, which your body can’t produce. These healthy fats help to protect you from disease, and is an essential requirement for hair growth.

Greek Yoghurt

Not only does greek yoghurt contain protein, it also has vitamin B5, an ingredient that helps with blood flow to your scalp, hair growth and even protection against hair thinning.

Spinach

Like other leafy greens, spinach is full of nutrients such as vitamin A, iron, beta carotene, folate and vitamin C. These nutrients work together to help protect your scalp and hair, while keeping hair moisturised to protect from breakages.

Chicken

When you don’t get enough protein, hair growth can be halted, which can result in hair loss. Chicken contains high levels of protein which can stimulate growth, ensuring your hair is constantly replacing older strands.

Eggs

Containing both protein and iron, eggs are one of the best foods you can eat for healthy hair. They’re also rich in Biotin, a B vitamin that stimulates hair growth and can also help strengthen brittle fingernails.
