This was at the Industry Awards held in Auckland over the weekend. On top of this prestigious award, True Grit won Grand Salon of the Year, Marketing Salon of the Year, Salon Design of the Year, 2016 editorial stylist for the Canterbury-Westland region and Ashlee van Wijk won Apprentice of the Year for the Northern/South region in New Zealand!

This award is open to salons with an annual turnover exceeding $600,000. As with the Boutique Salon award, judges are looking for a strong business model with all round performance. Focusing on key areas such as profitability, revenue and client stats.
The winner of this category produced a beautifully presented entry. The judges were all in agreement that this business is led by an extremely focused and motivated business person.

Kitomba NZARH New Zealand Salon of the Year
To be considered for the top award, businesses must enter the Grand or Boutique salon category, Excellence in Marketing and Employer of Choice.

They must display an excellent business model, fantastic use of marketing and the owner must demonstrate a true passion for their team, salon and the industry. And, of course, they must display results that demonstrate they are worthy of being regarded as the best.
