Anti-ageing Hair Care

2 February 2017

Just like the rest of our body, unfortunately our hair ages with time. Dull, dry, brittle hair appearance are all effects of ageing hair, that can worsen over time. But that doesn’t mean you have to suffer these consequences of ageing. Regular haircare and treatment can work wonders for the health of your hair. Read our top tips for keeping your tresses looking and feeling their best – no matter your age!

Stress Less

Stress can be super harmful to our hair, causing it to dry out and with extreme stress it can even start to fall out. Avoid these harmful effects by actively reducing stress in your life, getting plenty of exercise and keeping yourself hydrated throughout the day.

Get Regular Cuts

It’s no secret that our hair needs regular cuts to maintain its health. Cutting off split ends helps to keep your hair healthy, and we recommend a regular cut every 4-6 weeks for optimal hair health!

Prevent Heat Damage

Nothing dries out your hair faster (and causes splits end!) than subjecting it to intense heat every other day. Ensure you’re keeping your hair protected from hot temperatures by using a good quality heat protectant. We’ve got plenty available in the salon, so don’t forget to ask your stylist to recommend you a great product next time you’re in.

Keep your Scalp Healthy

A dull scalp can have a flow on effect for your tresses, so make sure you keep it in tip top shape! Look for shampoo and conditioner that contain super-hydrating coconut oil, vitamin E and panthenol, which are all great for boosting shine and strength.

Use Hair Oil

A great way to ensure you hair will always look healthy and shiny – hair oil. It’s a powerful anti-ageing tool, and just a few drops are all you need to get the coveted glossy look that healthy hair has! We love Kerastase’s Elixir Ultime Oil for a healthy boost to our tresses.
