The summer season is the perfect time to change up your look for the warmer weather, and we are loving some of the summer makeup trends we’ve been seeing lately. If you’re looking for a change in your makeup routine, then keep reading for our favourite looks!
The ‘no makeup’ makeup look
This look is perfect for long summer days spent outdoors, casual get togethers, or for days when you’d prefer a natural look. To recreate these looks, we recommend using the Youngblood Colour Correcting Perfecting Primer as a base, followed by the Illuminate Palette for a hint of blush, and a touch of highlighter. Finish the look with mascara and a nude lipstick for a quick and easy summer look.
The ‘Pop of colour’ look
For those who aren’t afraid to add a little colour into their lives, try the ‘pop of colour’ look. To achieve this easy look, simply pick either your lips or eyes as the focal point, and apply your makeup as usual – Youngblood Colour Correcting Perfecting primer, followed by the Youngblood Mineral Liquid foundation. Add a touch of contour with the Youngblood Contour palette, and mascara, then you’re ready for a pop of colour. To avoid looking too overdone, choose a bright eyeshadow or a bright lipstick. Our favourites are the ‘Valley Girl’ or the ‘Surfer Girl’ lipstick crayons, and for eyes we can’t go past the ‘Desire’ or ‘Graceful’ eyeshadow duos.
The ‘Summer Glow’ look
Our favourite look for the warmer months is the ‘summer glow’. Get the bronzed beach look – without spending hours in the sun! Start with a base of the Colour Correcting Perfecting primer, followed by the Youngblood mineral foundation. Then, using the Contour Palette, contour your face using, making sure to add plenty of bronzer for a natural looking glow. Finish with the Illuminate palette, highlighting down the bridge of your nose, above the cheekbones and the cupid’s bow for the ultimate summer look. A light lipgloss or nude Youngblood lipstick will complete your look.
