Our location

True Grit is now located at 87 Manchester Street in our new purpose-built salon.

Appointments

In fairness to all clients, our policy is to reschedule clients who are more than 15 minutes late. New clients are expected 15 minutes before their appointment. All appointments are confirmed by way of a text message or phone call on the business day before.

Cancellation Policy

We ask for 24 hours notification of changing/cancelling your appointment. If you fail to do this twice and we can’t fill your appointments, we will charge you for 50% of your services*. Also we will require you to pay upfront for any services you maybe wanting, and this payment will be non-transferable/non-refundable. We appreciate your consideration on this matter, and would like you to know that this is all at the discretion of management.
*Please note that in the 6 weeks leading up to Christmas the policy will be altered to reflect the client’s demands.

We accept MasterCard, Visa credit cards and EFTPOS.

Quotes and Consultations

We are very flexible with our consultation appointments and happily do this at no charge.

Skin Sensitivity Testing

As with many everyday substances hair colourants can cause an allergic reaction. It is important that we carry out a skin sensitivity test at least 48 hours prior to your colour application, even if you have used a hair colourant before. A Little Retail Therapy

We promote only the best in home hair care, L’Oréal Professionnel, Kérastase, Redken for Men, Olaplex and GHD – the ultimate tool in hair styling. We do recognise that GHDs are a big investment so we happily offer a lay-by option for them. Unable to come and visit us to pick up your product? Let us know and we can send it to you.

You want 100% satisfaction – and so do we! It’s okay to tell us when you are not sure about your hair – in fact we encourage it! We are not going to make you feel intimidated about mentioning your concerns, we are going to find a solution because we want you to walk out the door with a hairstyle or colour that you are absolutely in love with.

Providing that you are using L’Oréal Professionnel, Kérastase and other salon exclusive professional products we happily guarantee our work. All new clients receive a complimentary ‘style check’ – a blow wave at no charge to you to see how you are enjoying your new style. Conditions apply – please ask.

Product Guarantee

We believe in our products, and so should you. If for any reason you are not happy with any of your professionally prescribed products, please let us know as we will be happy to exchange it for an alternative for you.
