Curly CUTS
Curly Cuts is a hair care routine designed to enhance and maintain naturally curly or wavy hair by avoiding ingredients and techniques that damage curl patterns. If you’re not sure of your curl pattern or have big changes in mind for your hair, we recommend a consultation before your appointment.

True Grit has always had a strong focus on training. Our HITO Training Salon of the Year in previous Awards and Finalist status recognise that True Grit is an industry leader in employment and training.
We are recognised as a sought-after training ground for Christchurch’s top apprentice stylists. In 2022 we contracted an independent industry educator to specifically train our young upcoming team.
Clients benefit from our focus on training as it means there is always a team of apprentice stylists (New Generation Team) chomping at the bit for the experience. We can offer their services at extremely competitive rates.

Colour Services
We proudly introduce MoroccanOil Professional Hair Colour as our chosen brand partner.
All colour work is expertly applied by our highly trained colour technicians under the guidance of your chosen Master Stylists or Advanced Style Directors in our fabulous colour retreat. All colour services are to be performed in conjunction with a styling service.

Skin Sensitivity and Hair Strand Testing – As with many everyday substances, hair colourants can cause an allergic reaction. It is important that we carry out a skin sensitivity and hair strand test at least 48-hours prior to your colour application, even if you have used a hair colourant before. Upon booking your colour appointment, please mention booking a skin sensitivity test and we can discuss the best time for you to visit. Global Colour – inc. Fantasy Colour Work
Global colour means colouring the entire head with the same colour recipe. This can be anything from just adding shine with a demi, through to grey coverage and/or a fashion shade.
