Newsflash!! We are so excited and proud to announce that we took out six awards at the Kitomba NZARH Business Awards including NEW ZEALAND SALON OF THE YEAR! ?? This was at the Industry Awards held in Auckland over the weekend. Jacqui, Sarah and Ashlee have been in Melbourne for the Australian Hair Expo and Awards. We were nominated for Best Salon Design and although we didn’t win (congratulations Edward and Co Alexandra!) the team had a fantastic time and were wowed by the truly inspirational hairdressers in Australia. They attended many look-and-learns and discovered new styles of cutting and colouring which they’re keen to put into practice back home in the True Grit salon. True Grit and our New Generation stylist Libby are heading up to Wellington this weekend to compete in the HITO Industry Awards. Libby is competing for the national title of ‘Apprentice of the Year’ and we are planning on retaining our status as ‘Training Salon of the Year’. Wish us luck! In the preliminary competition in October, our wonderful style director Haley Scandrett received the third place award in New Zealand for ‘The Cut’ at the NZARH Supreme Awards and Libby Morton took out the HITO North of the South Regional Apprentice of the Year!
