Global L’Oréal Ambassador Peter Thomsen came to NZ last month to host a workshop that empowered L’Oréal hair stylists across NZ with his signature #MRTHOMSEN balayage look. We sent our wonderfully talented Advanced Style Directors Naomi Anderson and Libby Morton to the training so they could glean all of Peter’s hair whispering wisdom to bring it back into the work we do at the True Grit salon.
Day 1 Look and Learn
On Day 1 all hair stylists attending watched as Peter Thomsen displayed the tips and tricks for creating beautiful Instagram-worthy hair. Peter created his authentic #MRTHOMSEN signature look on some beautiful live hair models demonstrating how it all comes together with his unique cut, colour and textured styling techniques all wound up with his one-of-a-kind spirit and energy. Secrets to Peter’s consultation, colour plan, zonal toning, styling and photographing were laid bare for Naomi and Libby to lock and load and bring back to the salon! The day then finished off with a celebratory “clink” of champagne.
Day 2 Hands On
Over to Day 2 where Peter took the hairdressers on a journey to create and perfect his hands on #MRTHOMSEN look. With a model between every two guest stylists, Naomi and Libby worked together to replicate Peter’s work with assistance and guidance from Peter along the way. After all that hard work, of course another Champagne was in order! Check out some of the model “After” pictures below.
