Farewell Georgia
After being such a special part of the True Grit team, we’re saying farewell to Georgia as she embarks on an exciting new chapter managing a videography business alongside her fiancé.
We’ll miss her talent, energy and endless laughs in the salon, but we couldn’t be happier for her.
If Georgia has been your stylist, we’d love to help you find another member of the True Grit team who suits your hair, style and goals. Our New Generation stylists Isla and Mya are both welcoming new clients and would love to meet you.
Congratulations Isla!
We’re thrilled to announce that Isla has been promoted to Advanced New Generation Stylist.
Since beginning her hairdressing journey in 2022, Isla has developed a passion for lived-in colour, balayage, rich brunettes and coppers, alongside beautiful cuts including pixies, layered styles and natural curls.
She’s also passionate about sustainability and works closely with Sustainable Salons to help champion our sustainability initiatives within the salon.
To celebrate her promotion, book with Isla during August and receive a complimentary Evo Top Drop treatment valued at $30, or upgrade to a Kérastase Fusio Dose or Moroccanoil treatment for $20.
Mya is Officially Qualified
We’re also incredibly proud to celebrate Mya, who has officially passed her finals and achieved her New Zealand Certificate in Hairdressing (Professional Stylist).
Many of our clients will already know Mya as the talented technician who has been creating beautiful colour in the salon over the past few years. Now a Qualified New Generation Stylist, she’s welcoming her own clients to the chair.
Mya loves creating beautiful blondes, seamless balayage and rich, dimensional coppers, and is also known for her precision bobs and signature bouncy blow waves.

Celebrating One Year of Moroccanoil Colour
It’s officially been one year since Moroccanoil Colour arrived at True Grit – and what a year it’s been.
Over the past 12 months, we’ve loved creating everything from rich brunettes and vibrant reds to dimensional blondes using the Moroccanoil professional colour range. We’ve been particularly impressed with the beautiful shine, condition and longevity of the colour.

New in Salon: Amika
We’re excited to announce that Amika has officially arrived at True Grit! Known for its salon-quality formulas, vibrant packaging and products that genuinely deliver results, Amika has quickly become a favourite with our team. You can now shop the range both in salon and through our online store.
Remember that in salon we do have our True Rewards Card. This card gets you a free full sized product valued at 10% of your spend on 10 products. This is a great reward so don’t forget to make the most of it!
